Dear Readers, Researchers, and Colleagues,
It is with great pride and excitement that we introduce the inaugural issue of the Naturopathic Digest (ND Digest). The inspiration for this publication emerged from the folding of Natural Medicine Journal in 2025. Recognizing a distinct knowledge gap, the dynamic and passionate Dr. Mark Davis saw a prime opportunity to step in. Over several months, Dr. Davis and the GastroANP gathered resources and assembled a dedicated committee to launch this journal and share vital knowledge with our colleagues and readers.
Naturopathic Digest serves as a central forum for sharing clinical experience and emerging perspectives on digestive health. Reflecting the inherent depth and diversity of naturopathic practice, we welcome your case studies, clinical pearls, and literature reviews to add to the growing body of evidence-informed scholarship. Our mission at ND Digest is to advance the field of naturopathic gastroenterology through clinically-grounded insights.
In this issue, several styles of submissions are featured that celebrate the richness ND Digest seeks to foster. Of note are the winners from the Abstract and Commentary contest, spearheaded by Dr. Davis across multiple naturopathic universities in North America. The outpouring of enthusiasm from students was inspiring, and we look forward to welcoming more student thought leaders in future issues. This issue also hosts original research and case reports from our esteemed naturopathic colleagues. Thank you for contributing to the growth of this profession.
As we launch this publication, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of peer review.
