Editor-in-Chief: Dr. Joy Nauman, ND, MS, MEd
Dr. Joy Nauman is a naturopathic physician based in Yakima, Washington, specializing in integrative primary care with a focus on pediatrics, women’s health, and systems-based approaches to neurodevelopment and digestion. She serves as Research Director for Whole Systems Healthcare and brings dual master’s degrees in Research and Education to her role as founding Editor-in-Chief of Naturopathic Digest. Her vision is to create a platform where clinical observation and scientific inquiry meet — fostering a culture of shared knowledge within the naturopathic community.

Mark Davis, ND, FABNG
Dr. Mark Davis is a clinician-educator with a passion for providing evidence-based, innovative care, focused on treating complex digestive disorders through a comprehensive approach that addresses root causes. As a professor of naturopathic gastroenterology at Sonoran University of Health Sciences, he has pioneered work in fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) and helminthic therapy. He is also the chair of the research committee for the Gastroenterology Association of Naturopathic Physicians, CSO of Athera, LLC and Biome Bridge, LLC, where he leas research and development in vaginal and fecal microbiota transplantation, furthering the field of microbiome therapeutics through evidence-based innovation. He practices via telemedicine in California, the District of Columbia, and Oregon. Practice focus and special interests in IBD and microbiome assessment and interventions.
Monel Chang, ND
Dr. Monel Chang is a clinician specializing in integrative mental health and somatic medicine. With over a decade of experience in somatic movement therapies, Dr. Chang blends research-based practices with body-centered healing modalities like interoception, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care. Their clinical focus includes trauma recovery, psychedelic healing, and person-centered care for those navigating complex emotional and physical imbalances.
Andrea McBeth, ND
Dr. Andrea McBeth is a Co-Founder and the CEO of Thaena®, Flora Medicine, and SKNcology. She has a BS in Biochemistry with an emphasis in molecular biology from the University of San Diego and a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM). After becoming an ND she focused her clinical work on functional gastroenterology and started a fecal transplant stool bank to treat C.diff. With a technical science background Andrea’s passion for the microbiome has led to innovations in stool-derived postbiotic applications. She is also the president of GastroANP and an adjunct faculty at NUNM, teaching about the microbiome in nutrition, for the school of graduate studies.
Carly Polland, ND
Dr. Carly Polland is a clinician and educator with a focus on the microbiome’s role in health and disease and leveraging next generation sequencing in clinical practice. With a background in cellular biology, chemistry and education, she helps patients and practitioners decode the complex intersection of the microbiome with digestive symptoms, hormones and the immune system. She has lectured extensively at naturopathic medical conferences on the use of next generation sequencing in clinical practice. She is Clinical Lead at Biomesight, a wellness platform offering 16S rRNA sequencing of the microbiome. She is also a member of the Research Committee for the Gastroenterology Association of Naturopathic Physicians.
Megan Taylor, ND, FABNG
Dr. Megan Taylor is a Naturopathic Doctor and Fellow of the American Board of Naturopathic Gastroenterology. Dr. Taylor practices Naturopathic Gastroenterology for adults and pediatric patients at Neighborhood Naturopathic & Primary Care, in Seattle, WA, and serves as adjunct faculty at Bastyr University, teaching the gastroenterology curriculum. She also teaches course series in Advanced GI topics for practitioners throughout the year at megantaylornd.com, and lectures widely at professional conferences. She is a proud member and former board member of the Gastroenterology Association of Naturopathic Physicians.
